No Lost Generation donor briefing and round-table discussion on Gender Based Violence against adolescent girls and boys

On 9 May 2018, the UK and Germany co-hosted an NLG donor briefing, which brought together NLG partners working with adolescents in the Syrian crisis. Under the coordination of UNFPA, NLG partners UNFPA, UNHCR, Plan International and World Vision International shared with the donor community the evidence to date derived from existing documentation, programming experience and recent assessments, on GBV against adolescents. Second Brussels Conference on Supporting the Future of Syria and the Region

The European Union will host a second Brussels Conference on Supporting the Future of Syria and the Region in spring 2018. The 2018 Conference will come as a follow up to the 2017 Brussels Conference, and will aim at keeping the international community’s attention and response to the Syrian crisis on top of the international agenda, and will encourage the full implementation of commitments taken in Brussels in April 2017. This includes continued support to the UN-led process for a negotiated political solution in line with UNSCR 2254, and ensuring respective needs for Syrians inside Syria and in neighbouring countries are met.

Two New NLG Documents Launched

On the occasion of the Second Brussels Conference on Supporting the Future of Syria and the Region, No Lost Generation has launched “We Made a Promise: Ensuring Learning Pathways and Protection for Syrian Children and Youth” and “No Lost Generation Evidence Brief: Hear the Voices of Syria’s Adolescents and Youth.” These two reports aim to amplify the needs and voices of Syrian children during the conference and were distributed along with an NLG one-pager during a segment of an ECHO-led lunchtime side event.
